Exam Module is web-based software using the real power of whole-slide images in education and training.
With Exam Module you can easily set up examinations or practice sessions. The software supports the multi-language environment so each test can be set in different languages.
The order of individual questions is randomized for each student. Test questions (single or multiple choices) are automatically evaluated. The questions on the test sheets can be chosen from one or several different topics.
Using Exam Module saves a lot time and energy for teachers and instructors.

CaseCenter and the Teleconsultation module in CaseViewer help the process! First, the administrator uploads the slides in a case folder. This folder could be shared with the students (with "Read-only" or "Editable" functions settings).
After this, the administrator enters the Histology Education server and builds the questions for the exam topics questions with picture attachments or links to the digital slides. Answers can be single or multiple choice and the students can also define slide areas in CaseViewer with annotations. The module evaluates exams in a semi-automated way.
With the CaseViewer you are able to participate in a teleconsultation process. Simply register in and log on to PathoNet to access the virtual slide your colleague wants you to form an opinion about. You can even download the slide to your computer. After having the slide reviewed you can write a report.
If you want to set up your own slide server, you have to use CaseCenter. This web based application is a full-featured case and slide database with teleconsultation abilities.
CaseCenter can be used in smaller or bigger laboratories or even hospitals. Thanks to HL7 compatibility it can be integrated into existing hospital information systems.
CaseCenter is a flexible, distributed server system: more servers can easily be added for enhanced data security and storage requirements.
Licensing is done on the server side: CaseCenter regulates the number of users who can access the server at any time. User & group rights management is built in the system.
